This is a very well written and informative 140 page ebook that downloads as a pdf file. It was written by Francisca Stolzenbach and even though it takes a minute, it is well worth downloading. I rediscovered this on thehospicewebsite in the articles section, and was glad to find it!
Gentle Pass Times

Hi, how are you?
My name is Francisca and I wrote “Gentle Pass Times” by now I have a lot of videos about the dying process etc that you can watch online, or download and/or share if you wish. Just like the book they are absolutely free to do with as you see fit.
My most popular video is about Cheyne-Stokes breathing and it has been viewed more then 74,ooo times – there are also videos with comforting poetry and music in 6 languages – same thing: free. The reason why the book is shared as a PDF: I insist that whatever I create/share has to be available for anyone interested without costing anyone a penny. The link to my channel:

I sincerely thank you for posting on this website about the book and that, somehow my materials may be helpful to someone. Thank you for all that you do: you are a treasure…

Thank you so much for your gift…
My name is Francisca and I emailed in September about “Gentle Pass Times”, a free PDF that I wrote in hopes of somehow bringing a little comfort to those who are/were/may be perhaps in the future dealing with death.
In a way, I feel like it/I have come full circle:
Tonight, i went to the site of a new “follower” whom I had started to follow a day or so before on Twitter. Of course, I went to her website and love what she does: she creates comfort bears from fabric of clothing of people who are dying or who passed away already. (observing privacy, I’m not sure if I am to share someone else’s name in my comment here – that is why I describe versus simply writing down this woman’s name)
On her site, were comments from other people. One struck a cord and I followed the link to THAT woman’s site (same sentiment about her name).
I decided to subscribe to receiving followups from that specific blog and would receive these via email. When doing so, it showed one new message, so I clicked on the link to read it. I also do so, because besides caring about their well-being, I try to share comfort as well as suggestions with others.
Little did i know that the link would lead me back to…HERE
The place where “Webmaven” so nicely shared about “Gentle Pass Times” in July of 2012. Thank you to whomever may read this.
So…what is the gift I am thanking you for?
I am very ill. I still try to create videos that perhaps may be helpful.
Given recent developments, I also added the first nine parts of a series of short videos about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) What it is, who gets it, and how to help loved ones as I’m thinking that many may develop PTSD as a result of what has happened for instance in Colorado in 2012.
(I live in Aurora, CO)
Still did not explain the gift you gave me:
I cannot remember my own videos just about…10 minutes after creating them. I create the videos spontaneous, because if I’d try to prepare – I won’t be able to remember what to say. I get lost completely, many times during recording. people say they don’t notice, but I can tell when watching them.
I still try to offer insights/comfort via email/phone when I can – somehow, the words will be there. I have the printed version of “Gentle Pass Times” sitting here – but when reading it, I do not recognize my own written words (all based on real experiences by the way)
I have tried to put the text on a website so people don’t have to bother with downloading. But…there is only one page. I never finished building the website because I keep not remembering it’s there. Then I thought of putting it in a blog: exact same result…
The gift you have given me, is that it really warms my heart to see that “Gentle Pass Times” is still being shared and I hope it may have helped someone along the line. I myself did/do not know if or where it was still accessible for everyone AND also still available for free. 🙂
Thank you.
For anyone interested in the videos: they are on YouTube and are all uploaded in a way that you may download and/or share and/or embed in websites if you like, but PLEASE only share them for free:
The link to my channel shows all videos (by now, I have added many videos in support of all kinds of topics/people) and you’ll see the ones related to the dying process and how to help in those playlists:
